Hi, my name is Daphne. I live in Canada and am a mother to two adult daughters, along with a whole bunch of beautiful grandsons coming along the way. My life has been quite the journey.

Facing a Difficult Past

There’s a lot I would love to share, so I’ll focus on the key points. I was raised in a very abusive home by what I’ve learned were narcissistic parents. There was physical, sexual, mental, and verbal violence—lots of it. On top of that, I ended up taking care of my mom because she was always sick. I didn’t really have much of a childhood and was forced to grow up really fast. There was a lot of fear, and I was afraid to do anything.

I hoped everything would stop once I left that environment, but I married a man who was an alcoholic. Leaving him after 12 years was the best decision I made, but it was also one of the hardest. My second marriage also failed. I had been seeing therapists regularly since my early twenties, and despite always being hopeful, I was often paralyzed by fear and anxiety.

Struggling to Cope

Over the years, significant life events took their toll. In 2018, I collapsed and ended up in the hospital with blood pressure that doctors said I should have died from. Having always had low blood pressure, this was shocking. I had been on stress leave, trying to run a business with my daughter, but doctors could find nothing physically wrong.

Despite seeking help from various therapists, I felt stuck, always talking about my past but never able to move beyond it. I needed someone who could help me reprogram my thinking and change my mindset. I had lost track of who I was, often making decisions based on other people’s thoughts and opinions.

A New Beginning with Marcel

One night, I serendipitously met a girlfriend who suggested I reach out to Marcel. Initially, I was skeptical about the virtual format, living in Canada while he was in Spain. But after my first complimentary session, which lasted around four to five hours, I knew I had found someone who could truly help me.

A Safe Space for Healing

My sessions with Marcel were weekly and ranged from three to five hours. They never felt that long. It was a gift to talk about my experiences and what I needed help with. I struggled with anxiety, particularly when dealing with authority figures or family, often freezing up and unable to articulate my feelings.

Marcel’s deep understanding of the brain and body, along with his own life experiences, provided insights that I hadn’t encountered before. He guided me through breathing exercises and helped me confront triggers, allowing me to reconnect with my emotions.

An Unconventional Approach

Marcel’s unconventional style was a refreshing change from other therapists I had worked with over the past three decades. While they seemed to care, I never truly felt supported. My trauma followed me everywhere, and I was frustrated by therapists who only wanted to talk without offering practical solutions.

Marcel immediately identified my anxiety and the tightness in my voice and body language during our first session. He created a calming environment that allowed me to feel acknowledged for the first time.

Ongoing Growth and Transformation

My sessions lasted 26 weeks, with Marcel always available to help when I struggled. He provided the calming guidance I desperately needed. His bespoke program catered to my unique needs, helping me make sense of my experiences.

Through his genuine care, calming nature, and perfect timing for humor, I have made significant progress. I am learning to put myself first and make healthy decisions that support my well-being. I now feel safe for the first time in my life.

Gratitude and Recommendation

I honestly don’t know where I would be without Marcel. He has forever changed my life and saved me. If you’re experiencing trauma or discomfort in navigating life, Marcel is your gift!

I am truly grateful, Marcel. Thank you for teaching me the experiences that help me live a much healthier life.
